Job Summary
The Documentation Administrator is responsible for generating, processing and issuing engineering drawings, supporting documentation, and technical information to manufacturing.

Job Duties
- Review engineering drawings and documentation for specifying required manufacturing processes in consultation with Operations; check that raw material sizes and designations match requirements.
- Create Part IDs, Bill of Materials, and Routings in Microsoft Dynamics AX.
- Create Production Orders for drawings and releases according to requirements of associated projects.
- Ensure correct manufacturing processes are documented.
- Ensure engineering drawings conform to Microsoft Dynamics AX subprojects and routings.
- Ensure details in engineering and ERP bills of materials match
- Provide required electronic and/or hard copies of all engineering documentation to manufacturing for production, warranty, and spare parts requirements
- Collaborate with Project Leaders, engineers/designers to ensure engineering standards are followed.
- Maintain positive and productive working relationships with colleagues.
- Be courteous and helpful when dealing with customers, suppliers, and other members of Samco's business network.
- Comply with OHSA and other safety policies as outlined in Samco's Health and Safety Manual and safety procedures.
- Comply with all company and plant safety rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Follow departmental procedures required by ISO and actively participate in recommending improvements.
Job Requirements (Education, Knowledge & Skill)
- An engineering certificate, program, or equivalent experience.
- An understanding of the primary manufacturing processes related to machinery and equipment manufacturing.
- A keen attention to detail and accurate data entry. Ability to effectively use an ERP system.
- Able to correctly specify material designations and processes per engineering procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawing formats and ability to interpret drawings.
Work Conditions & Physical Demands
- Dynamic and fastpaced environment with deadlines which may result in working additional hours.
- The physical working condition is typical of an office and manufacturing environment that contains of noise, dust, and fumes along with long periods of desk and computer work.
- The incumbent must be able to work independently in a structured work environment.

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
