**We are hiring School Age Educators to join our Centre Teams in Sarnia, Ontario

Our School Age Educators see children as competent, capable, and natural explorers of our world. School Age

Educators are facilitators of opportunities in everyday experiences and guides in supporting children as they grow to

become active contributing community members. Our Before and After School Programs partner with and operate

out of the school that they support children from and are an extension to the children's day of learning.

Age Educator


Location and Hours of Operation
The Educators joining London Bridge will be placed at one of our Sarnia locations. To find out more about our centre

  • 5:30 PM. Shifts will be determined based on centre needs. Positions available vary between 2540 hours per week.

As a School Age Educator, you will spend your days

  • Providing children with opportunities for discovery and exploration through intentional planning
  • Providing attentive and vigilant supervision to ensure the safety of all children
  • Building communication and positive relationships with children, families, and schools
  • Upholding a clean and wellorganized environment in a school space often a shared space with the school
  • Maintaining compliance with licensing requirements through precise recordkeeping and paperwork
management


Qualifications

  • Experience working with children 612 years of age
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child development
  • Registered Early Childhood Educator qualification, or, Post-Secondary degree/diploma in related field
(including but not limited to Social Service Worker (SSW), Developmental Service Worker (DSW), Child and

Youth Worker (CYW), BA in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work);
- or is currently enrolled in a Post-Secondary degree/diploma program

  • If applicable, a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators

Compensation and Employee Benefits
At London Bridge, we have a wage grid based off of years of education and experience. Our starting rate for

Permanent RECE's and Early Childhood Paraprofessionals is $19.75 per hour. When applicable, we recognize years of

Canadian external work experience to increase hourly wages.

As a part of compensation benefits, you will also access vacation entitlement, 10 personal days annually, a Benefits

package, Registered Retirement Savings Plan, Professional Development opportunities.
