Specialty Health and Science Representative (SHSR) - Rheumatology/Gastroenterology, Atlantic Canada

Role Purpose

Responsible for driving the sales growth of promoted products within the rheumatology and gastroenterology portfolio in their approved indications.

The incumbent is accountable for achieving or surpassing sales results aligned with the marketing strategies within their defined territory and respective regions.

This will be done by working with Rheumatologists and Gastroenterologists along with allied healthcare professionals including nurses and pharmacists to ensure best patient care and management.

Core Responsibilities

  • Delivering targeted and customerfocused calls live or virtually on Specialists, Nurses, Pharmacists, and other key local stakeholders in the teaching hospitals, targeted community hospitals, and community offices while developing and maintaining longterm relationships
  • Developing and executing business plans which address the business priorities of the territory and aligned with marketing strategies
  • Maintaining an indepth knowledge of the disease state and product that enables the Specialty Health and Science Representative (SHSR) to engage in meaningful dialogue, build credibility and add physician and patient value
  • Developing advocates and leveraging the cascade of influence to accelerate trial and adoption of products within the rheumatology and gastroenterology portfolio
  • Collaborating with cross functional team members at the field and regional level to build and execute an integrated business plan (e.g. Medical, Patient Support Program Managers) that supports the Specialty Care organization's strategy and objectives
  • Leveraging Pfizer resources with keys stakeholders (Field, Head Officeincluding cross Business Unit)
  • Providing regular reports on progression of activities and performance
  • Attending congresses including coordinating and executing educational programs
  • Demonstrating Pfizer Values and Leadership Behaviors including adherence to Pfizer policies and procedures as well as the IMC code and guidelines.
  • Identifying and handling adverse event and product complaint reports as per Corporate and Regulatory standard procedure, including Your Reporting Responsibilities (YRR) training.
  • A university degree(s) in an appropriate discipline with successful pharmaceutical sales experience and a minimum of 5 years in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Biologics experience in the field of Rheumatology, Gastroenterology or Specialty experience will be an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment, as well as with medical opinion leaders and multidisciplinary teams
  • Solutionsoriented with a constructive approach to overcome challenges
  • Excellent communication, project management, organizational and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel to support the brand/territory requirements and spend some evenings and weekends away to participate in scientific programs and congress
  • Experience in virtual engagement platforms such as Team, Zoom, Webex
  • Must have a valid driver's license

Le titulaire devra stimuler la croissance des ventes des produits promus au sein du portfolio rhumatologie et gastroentérologie en ce qui a trait aux indications approuvées.

Il ou elle sera chargé d'atteindre ou de dépasser les objectifs de vente, arrimés aux stratégies de marketing des territoires ou régions.

À cette fin, il ou elle devra travailler avec des rhumatologues et des gastroentérologues, de concert avec des professionnels paramédicaux, y compris le personnel infirmier et les pharmaciens pour optimiser les soins et la prise en charge des patients.

Fonctions principales

  • Effectuer des visites ciblées en présentielle ou virtuelle auprès de spécialistes, de personnel infirmier, de pharmaciens et d'autres parties prenantes locales dans les hôpitaux universitaires, les hôpitaux communautaires et les cabinets privés, tout en nouant des relations à long terme.
  • Concevoir et appliquer des plans d'affaires portant sur les priorités commerciales territoriales, en conformité avec les stratégies de marketing.
  • Maintenir des connaissances approfondies sur les maladies et les produits afin d'engager un dialogue significatif, d'affermir sa crédibilité et d'offrir une valeur ajoutée aux médecins et aux patients.
  • Constituer un groupe de défenseurs et construire la cascade d'influence afin d'accélérer l'essai et l'adoption des produits au sein du portfolio rhumatologie et gastroentérologie.
