What you'll do


The CTC Product Stewardship Team manages sustainable packaging, tire recycling, product safety and compliance, responsible sourcing, and environmental stewardship across the Canadian Tire family of companies.

In addition, CTC Product Stewardship drives material circular economy initiatives by identifying and engaging collaborative internal and external partners.


This Data Coordinator position will be responsible for supporting sustainable initiatives that support our company's sustainability commitments and regulatory requirements.

Working with our internal departments, retail stores and vendors to ensure accurate reporting, and vendor payments relating to provincial tire producer responsibilities.

Responsibilities for this position will also include activities relating to sustainable packaging data, tracking, and reporting.

  • Completion of sales data reporting and vendor payments relating to provincial tire producer responsibilities.
  • Ensuring packaging data accuracy.
  • Providing vendors with support and education on packaging standards
  • Working with 3rd party in data collection.
  • Measuring progress vs targets.
  • Data analysis id opportunities/trends.
  • Regular reporting compliance %, packaging reductions, kgs "bad" plastic avoidance.
  • Escalation of noncompliance to standards.
  • Monitoring remediations.
  • Utilizing continuous improvement methods to enhance accuracy and reliability of processes, tools, and reporting to support business goals.
  • Continue to strengthen and build relationships with applicable vendors and CT Store operations to ensure smooth and consistent communications.
  • Participating in process improvement initiatives from induction through to implementation. Participating in all required activities including both system and process investigation, design, build, documentation, testing and rollout.
  • Active member of a team that will Initiate, develop, coordinate and execute work plans with cross functional supply chain teams that deliver positive results. This includes facilitating formal and informal communications across all levels of the organization.
  • Prioritize and cope with competing and changing objectives in support of both short
- and long-term goals while maintaining stakeholder expectations. This includes various ad hoc analytical work, assessing options and presenting findings.


What you bring

  • You have an undergraduate and/or post graduate degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management or Data & Analytics with experience in retail in an analytical role, is an asset. New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence, and negotiate with colleagues or more senior business members.
  • Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to adjust style and format as required to suit the audience.
  • Understanding and experience within a Retail Environment and Product life cycle.
  • Exceptional analytical planning and organizational skills with a proven track record managing to strict deadlines is an asset.
  • Advanced excel skills / Pivot tables.
  • Experience managing tracking, payments and reports.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, overcome confusion and simplify complex situations.
  • Ability and confidence to identify and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders of varied levels.
  • Ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • A selfstarter with excellent analytical and organizational skills with a desire to learn and understand multiple processes.
  • Results oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and keeping focus on the "big picture".
  • Strong knowledge of MS Access, Power Point, Word.
  • Knowledge of CTC product data systems, would be an asset.
