Job Summary:


To assist Building Systems Department in the planning and tracking of preventive maintenance tasks, evaluation of facility and production processes, calibration and equipment modifications that would increase production efficiency.


Responsibilities:


  • To work closely with the Building Systems supervisors, Project Engineers, Special project Coordinator, Building Systems and Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians, Validation and consultants analysing facility systems and processes in order to make continuous improvements focusing on Safety, Quality and Productivity.
  • Work with internal customers in the development, recommending and implementing continuous improvement projects
  • Liaison with internal customers, suppliers and contractors in the coordination of engineering project activities.
  • Work in a team approach environment to problem solving.
  • Assist in evaluating data using spreadsheets and databases, and performing quantitative/qualitative analysis.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new facility equipment.
  • Assist in preparation of documentation such as: equipment and facility change control forms, deviation reports, investigation reports, installation/operation qualifications & performance qualifications.
  • Complete equipment installation and operational qualifications (IQ/OQ"s) for new and existing machinery/processes and maintenance/operational Standard Operational Procedures (SOP's) as required.
  • Prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs, etc. that are required for reports.
  • Assist in Effective Inventory Management, including identifying critical components/instruments and adding in SAP as spares.
  • Works as a member of a team to achieve all outcomes.

  • Performs all work in accordance with all established regulatory and compliance and safety requirements.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Mechanical or Electrical student preferably in his/her third or fourth work term.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Word, Excel and Power Point are essential. MS Access would also be beneficial.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of basic Healthcare regulatory requirements would be helpful.
