Your primary responsibilities will include:

Baker Tilly Canada prides itself on being client-first, cyber-security focused, innovative, and an early adopter of new technologies.

As our National IT Administrator, you will report to the National Director of Technology and will be responsible for the management of our National IT network, servers and cyber-security systems.


Your primary focus will be supporting our National team and member firm technology professionals across the country and managing National technology initiatives — SSO, cyber security training, Teams phone and other Microsoft-focused technology initiatives.


  • Manage, review, action, and escalate tickets from National team members and local office IT teams.
  • Setup, configuration, and support of Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Management of cyber security training programs (KnowBe4)
  • Liaising with local office IT teams on technology related issues and strategic initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with external vendors and senior IT resources to identify, propose, and implement technology solutions.
  • Drive technology innovation and provide coaching and mentoring support to local office IT teams.


You have 3+ years' experience working in a similar role (entry to mid level), are self-motivated and are comfortable working remotely while supporting remote infrastructure and users in a fast-paced environment.


  • Your core technical proficiencies will include:
  • Technical understanding and practical experience with a Microsoft O365 environment
  • Technical understanding and practical experience with Azure and Azure AD
  • Microsoft suite of server products including Windows Server
  • Intermediate knowledge of Active Directory, TCP/IP and related protocols (SMTP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge and understanding of cybersecurity best practices
  • Your experience with the following qualifications would be an asset:
  • Powershell or similar scripting languages
  • SQL Server administration and management experience
  • Your core softskills:
  • Selfmotivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions
  • High level of proficiency in clientfocused service
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple project deadlines and priorities
