What can I expect to do in this role?: You will:

  • Provide project support including the planning and documentation of a range of program and policy topics
  • Develop, maintain, verify and evaluate existing records management systems for the unit
  • Develop tools, technology and prototypes to support the team in records management, process of proposals, document review and preparation of FOI requests
  • Deal with enquiries and requests for information and prepare draft briefing notes and correspondence
  • Assist the administration team in arranging meetings, coordinating travel and procurement

How do I qualify?:


Technical Knowledge:


  • You have knowledge of policy and program research methods to provide project research and support on strategic and operational programs and policies
  • You have knowledge of program delivery process, methods and best practices to develop knowledge transfer tools, technology and prototypes in support of programs
  • You can acquire knowledge of the ministry's strategic goals and objectives for people with mental health and addiction issues to work on planning and delivery on provincial initiatives

Financial Skills:


  • You have demonstrated knowledge of financial approval processes and OPS funding and transfer payment program guidelines and systems

Research and Analytical and Problem Solving Skills:

  • You have research and analytical skills to research program, and policy topics in support of initiatives in mental health planning and delivery
  • You have issues analysis skills to identify conflicts during the planning and execution of initiatives and recommend resolutions
  • You have problem solving skills to research and analyze sector issues and trends and make recommendations

Communication Skills:


  • You have demonstrated oral communication, consultation, collaboration and negotiation skills to work with a wide range of stakeholders on initiatives
  • You have demonstrated written communication skills to research summaries, develop knowledge transfer tools, guidelines and templates
  • You can draft briefing and decision notes
