The Toronto Blue Jays are looking for a Manager, Group Sales

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead sales team with focus on retention and new sales of group tickets and group related products (group packages, group spaces, Rooms)
- Develop effective sales strategies and campaigns that help achieve targets and objectives
- Assist in developing strategic product, benefit and pricing plans to maximize group sales efforts
- Identify key group sales segments and created targeted approach to generate new sales
- Create offers and sales plan for dedicated group/social spaces
- Identify and pursue group and theme game sales opportunities in collaboration with other departments within the organization
- Develop targeted out of office sales plan to capture group opportunities (i.e. trade shows, conferences, etc.)
- Implement and maintain plans for sales team use of Salesforce CRM; creating a strategy to manage group sales pipelines, produce regular sales and forecasting reports, updates on sales campaigns and group event execution
- Work with Strategy & Analytics team to develop comprehensive inventory management plan to maximize group sales
- Develop and utilize sophisticated training programs and performance management systems for sales team
- Ensure continuous coaching and mentoring, goal setting and development planning
- Work collaboratively with various departments to utilize new ticketing technologies, such as lead qualifying tools and lead scoring models
- Develop a highperforming sales culture with emphasis on achieving results in a team first, collaborative environment
- Develop and maintain website content for group sales website
- Contribute to the overall success of ticketing team by performing all other essential duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of demonstrated success in sales and/or service, preferably in the sports industry
- Previous success leading group sales teams and developing group sales strategies
- Strong leader with ability to develop, mentor and motivate team
- Great business knowledge with a clear understanding of Blue Jays products and services
- Previous experience with ticketing systems (Archtics) and CRM (Salesforce) preferred
- Willingness to coach and be coached, with an appetite to learn and get better every day
- Flexibility to work nontraditional hours (select evenings, weekends)
