Whitewater Management is seeking to add to our team with the hire of
Water Treatment Technicians for
on-site field work.

These positions will be based in the Lower Mainland, British Columbia.

Major Areas of Accountability:


  • Operate waste water treatment systems
  • Handling water and waste water treatment chemicals
  • Assist in equipment installation or removal
  • Building ancillary equipment as needed (pipe, hoses, lift stations, cords)
  • Interpret lab results to identify inefficiencies in operation and correct as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and carry out equipment maintenance requirements on a periodic basis
  • Focus on safety practices and policies while undertaking daytoday tasks associated with the job or work site task
  • Inspecting ancillary equipment (pumps, hoses, heat trace, etc.)
  • Data recording and analysis
  • Various other duties as required

Key Skills & Experience:


  • Experience with water management including but not limited to treatment of water with chemicals and processes (filters, DAF, coagulants, flocculants)
  • Experience with pumps
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Be a proven collaborator with a desire to work in a team environment
  • Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Reliable and able to meet job requirements with little daily supervision

Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license and a current abstract
  • 2 years' experience preferred in the field of Fluid Management as it relates to the Oilfield, Mining or Municipal Sector
  • Chemical background, or experience with use of Chemicals and water treatment
  • Comfortable working in the field this is not a lab based position

Position Requirements:


  • Position is an onsite field role, focusing on work in the Lower Mainland, BC
  • Schedule: 24 and 7 / 6 and 1 / 21 and 4

Salary:
From $26.00 per hour
