Description

Barber Collins Security is looking to hire several full time Security Guard for a new client location that is South of Barrie in Bradford, ON.

Obtaining a personal vehicle is mandatory as this site has no access to a bus route.

Shifts:

*Schedule will be based off of a mandatory 2-week rotation

Must be able to commit to the assigned schedule consisting of:

Available to work 12 hour shifts of days and/or over nights. Total of 44 hours per week.
Shifts are structured to be 4 shifts in week 1 and 3 shifts in the following week (7 shifts in a 14 day period).
Would be required/expected to work every second weekend.
Must be available weekdays/weeknights, weekends and statutory holidays.
Must be extremely flexible and available.

Responsibilities:

Conduct regular foot patrols
Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences.
Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates.
Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment.
Access control for the facility/area.
Log in and allow access to trucks and trailers
Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decisionmaking ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents.
Input employee information into card access system. Make access cards.
Keep site supervisor, Operations Manager aware of operational issues

Skills:

Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position.
Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field.
Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment.
Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
Surveillance skills and detail orientation.
Integrity and professionalism.
Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones.
Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills.

Salary:
$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week

Schedule:

12 hour shift
Day shift
Monday to Friday
Night shift
Weekends as needed
