We also excel in manufacturing and transportation of construction materials including several aggregate-based products, cement, asphalt, and ready-mix concrete.Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by complying with all safety guidelines
- Assist with overall project performance including costs, schedule, and quality
- Maintain and promote excellent relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and public
- Manage change order processes, including pricing, negotiating, processing, assessing cost and schedule impact
- Expedite progress payment certificates, final payment certificates, and all extra work orders as per the contract
- Adhere to the Lavis Policy and Procedure Manual
- Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations for construction projects by adhering to the Company's OH&S management system
- Assist in planning, preparing, and updating work schedules and executing construction activities
- Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities on the project site and adherence to contract requirements
- Maintain plans, specifications, cost, and materials estimates, subcontractors and reports and ensures latest issues are distributed as required
- Coordinate procurement of construction materials ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of materials in accordance with the terms of the purchase order
- Ensure project cost requirements are met and coding procedures are followed
- Assists with estimating and bidding projects as required
- Other duties as required
Requirements:
- Currently a student in a civil engineering or related technical field program
- Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives
- Attention to details and superior organizational skills to work well with shifting priorities and rapid change
- Strong ability to work with a highly functional team
- Good communication skills both spoken and written
- Valid drivers license
- Excellent Microsoft Outlook, MS Word, and Excel skills
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and night shifts as the project schedule demands
