The Permitting and Compliance Lead is responsible for compliance with Owner/Regulatory requirements related to the development of Transmission Line and Substation Construction.

This position is based in Thunder Bay, ON.


Your role will be to:

  • Identify regulatory permits and approvals required to support project execution and compliance
  • Liaise with Project and Regulatory personnel

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environment or related field (biology, chemistry, environmental sciences, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in regulatory permitting and compliance management
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable/environmental legislation and regulations in Ontario
  • Supervisory experience ability to effectively manage personnel, subcontractors, contracts and budgets
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Strong decisionmaking skills
  • Supervisory & leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to organize, set priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fastpaced and changing work environment
  • Strong time management skills to to meet critical deadlines and timelines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
