As a Guest Service Agent, your job duties will include:

  • Create a positive guest experience by providing courteous and professional service to guests who are checking in or out of the facility while offering exceptional service to guests during their stay.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
  • Process all guest checkins, checkouts, and requests and secure payment for all guestrooms and amenities.
  • Communicate guests' needs to all appropriate departments.
  • Collaborate with members of the Housekeeping Department to track room status and address guest concerns.
  • Run and review daily reports, contingency lists, and credit card authorization reports.
  • Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns; following up ensuring each has been met with guests' satisfaction.
  • Operate telephone switchboard station and facilitate wakeup calls.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to Management.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Attend all scheduled shifts, including shift work and weekend work in accordance with the schedules.

Qualifications for the role:


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Minimum of 2 years in a frontline customer service environment
  • Previous Guest Service/Front Desk experience an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience using Opera is an asset.
  • Motivated, detail orientated and positive individual.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Bilingual (French) an asset but not required
