JOB SUMMARY:
Looking for individuals to become Home Share providers and selecting home share providers, following CLBC quality standards. The Home share support worker offers administrative assistance to the Home Share coordinator by recording care plans for clients, tracking clients' progress in the caregiver's home, and addressing any obstacles with the Home Share Coordinator.***
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Diploma in a related human service field and at least one year of recent experience in day services and creating community opportunities for individuals with a developmental disability or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with an electronic case management system is preferred
- Experienced in teamwork, individual and group planning, training, and support
- Excellent communication skills with clients, support networks, and the broader community
- Capability to work autonomously and handle emergencies in isolated settings
- Strong attention to detail, self-direction, and ability
- Proven ability and dedication to collaborating effectively with diverse populations
- Skills in planning, decision-making, coaching, and fostering positive relationships
- Knowledge of positive behavioral support techniques and supporting caregivers in utilizing these strategies
- Valid First Aid/CPR and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification
- Class 5 Driver's License; Reliable personal vehicle
HOURS OF WORK:
This is a regular Part-time role, working 20 hours/week Monday - Friday. Start and end times may vary, and flexibility with hours is necessary to meet program requirements, as decided by the Program Supervisor._ _
