DISMANTLER

Looking to advance your career? Are you mechanically inclined with your own set of hand tools? Work for Maxim Truck & Trailer as a Dismantler in our Recycling Division. This role may be a stepping stone to becoming an apprentice Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Technician, Body Shop Repair or to the Parts department. Receive fully paid company training


Responsibilities:


  • Removing salvage parts and dismantling heavy trucks or other vehicles
  • Locating parts in yard for customers
  • Tagging and storing all parts in a clean, safe and secure manner.
  • Moving vehicles in and out of the shop using forkilifts, petibones and loaders

Qualifications:


  • Previous dismantling experience, either work related or personal experience tearing down and parting out equipment preferred
  • Good mechanical skills
  • Knowledge of the heavy duty industry is an asset
  • Knowledge of tools and safe removal of parts
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment is required (Forklift, Pettibone)
  • Ability to use a cutting torch
  • Must be willing to work outdoors year round
  • Have some basic hand tools (or ability to get own tools as needed)

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • WINNIPEG, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
