Boart Longyear is an integrated drilling services and drilling products provider, producing, manufacturing and operating equipment for the minerals industry, with a drilling presence in water exploration, environmental sampling, energy and oil sands exploration.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated
Quality Technician - Summer Student in our
North Bay, Ontario office. Boart Longyear is committed to high quality, safety, environmental and continuous improvement practices. Applicants should be able to demonstrate shared values in this area.

The hours of work for this summer student position will be 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday to Friday. The summer position contract will end on Friday September 1, 2023.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

Position Requirements

As a summer student, you will assist in:

NCR and Claim Reviews
Data entry (numeric and alpha)
Utilizes small hand tools
Capacity to perform physical work and perform housekeeping activities
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
Personal Attributes:
Ability to work in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in accordance with all safety policies and procedures
This position requires ongoing physical demands including lifting, bending, walking, standing.
Reporting Relationship

The position reports directly to the Quality Manager, who is located in North Bay, Ontario.
