This role will report to the Sr. FSQA Manager and work cross functionally with other departments. Supervises the day-to-day activities of the QA technicians to maximize resource effectiveness and utilization in compliance with AIMS programs.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide QA technical support to all site departments including production, maintenance, logistics, and engineering as required to achieve business goals
  • Develops and implement validations, testing, inspection procedures, and statistical compliance with GMPs, food safety, company specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Researches product defects, recommends modifications in products or standards, and prepares necessary reports (NCRs) and CAPA plans.
  • Implements and comply with AIMS program and QA frameworks initiatives to improve QA KPIs (nonconformance, zero defects, customer complaints, firsttime right, etc.) and customer service
  • Establish, monitor, validate, and maintain procedures and systems (HACCP, Food Safety Plans (PCPs) and sign off on trials and new innovations
  • Maintain effective communication and appropriate working relationship with internal and external customers such as supply chain planning, purchasing, R&D, and others as applicable
  • Shares information with superiors, colleagues, staff, and subordinates and participates in the development of the annual site QA budget and controls fixed and variable cost expenditures.
  • Manage inventory of testing supplies and equipment
  • Managing the operational cost of the department including controlling overtime, absenteeism, and quality of production output among others to ensure a costcompetitive operation
  • Facilitate through AOE the correct QA skills and competencies to employees to drive the continuous improvement agenda
  • Managing performance issues by interacting with management and legal to raise employee performance to accepted levels
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Adhere to GMPs and Health and Safety rules as outlined in the employee handbook
  • Adhere to food safety practices and ensure they are being followed

Qualifications:


  • A degree in Food Science or a related field is required
  • Certification CQE, CQM, Food Safety System (BRC, SQF, FSSC 22000, etc.) a plus. A minimum 3 or more years of experience in supervising or managing the QA function is required
  • 3 or more years of experience in the food manufacturing


  • CAPA

  • RCA(6M), 5 Why problemsolving workable knowledge plus
  • Skills HACCP, PCQI, GMPs, and other planspecific training
  • Proficiency in MS Office, QM SAP, etc.
  • Administration of continuous improvement methods in TPM
  • Knowledgeable in quality/food safety requirements, and regulatory requirements and transitioning that knowledge to our other departments and building respect
