JOB OVERVIEW


Reporting to the Senior Manager, New Business Development & Sports Alliances, the Manager, Independent Fundraising New Business Development & Program Development is responsible for identifying, prospecting, soliciting third-party fundraising partnership opportunities while also developing new third-party fundraising programs that will drive revenue and engagement in the province of Quebec.

The Manager will also be responsible for day-to-day management of current and newly emerging sports alliance programs to raise funds and engage new supporters in Quebec.


WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:


1. Lead Independent Fundraising New Business Development & Program Development in Quebec
(60%)

  • Independently prospects, cultivates, solicits, and secures, potential new partners and fundraisers to meet direct revenue goals.
  • Conducts regular cold calls to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities. Assesses and identifies key decision makers and influences within the client organization.
  • Helps support strategic sports alliances partnership programs and develops new strategic partnership programs.
  • Project management of Sports Alliances account activations including but not limited to: coordination of national/global sports promotions, collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders, weekly status updates, and correspondence to keep projects moving forward in a timely manner.
  • Develop and track success of activation plans from concept to completion to ensure all deliverables are executed in a timely manner.
  • Draft independent fundraising and sports alliance partnership proposals to secure new fundraising initiatives.
  • Proactively engage in networking activities to expand professional connections and cultivate relationships that contribute to the growth of the revenue pipeline.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to maximize networking opportunities and stay abreast of market developments.

2. Revenue and Relationship Management (40%)

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager, New Business Development & Sports Alliances on development of strategic partnership plans and budgets to grow revenue and engage existing supporters in Quebec.
  • Engage, inspire, and grow the value of existing independent fundraising and sports alliance partnerships in Quebec.
  • Develop new and innovative fundraising programs in Quebec that grow revenue and engagement.
  • Works collaboratively with the Supporter Engagement team and other internal stakeholders to help build and execute independent fundraising opportunities in Quebec.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure all programs are executed successfully.
  • Provide exceptional service to all partnership accounts to maintain and strength the relationship.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial commentaries and ensure invoices are tracked and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Continually monitor programs and evaluate industry trends to identify new and innovative opportunities.

3. Contribute to a strong Corporate Partnerships and CCS team by positively contributing to CCS Values and Operations

  • Follows all guidelines established by national leadership including, Marketing, Communications, Digital Support, Finance, Team People, IT, and others.
  • Maintains relationship data for partners in CRM database (Salesforce).
  • Foster a working environment that highlights the talents and strengths of each team member, acknowledging and celebrating successes.
  • Champion CCS as a hero in the face of cancer.
  • Actively contribute to our culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring that all staff feel represented and heard regardless of their gender, age, religion, ethnicity, and nationality or race.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Postsecondary diploma/degree required, in a related field (preferably marketing or business development) with 57 years' experience. Previous experience in the nonprofit space is an asset.
  • Excellent planning, marketing and business development skills including strong negotiation abilities.
  • Exceptional history in developing, managing, and implementing successful sports activation programs.
