Primary Objective of the Position:


Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, CMC, the Network Manager monitors all aspects of the worldwide operation including the development of recovery plans in the event of operational disruptions.

The Network Manager ensures Customer contractual obligations are met, while safety and compliance standards are maintained by all employees, vendors and subcontractors.


Essential Position Functions:


  • Confirm serviceability of the 757/767 fleet.
  • Provide direction and oversight to all departments ensuring the worldwide operational plan is ready and all aircraft/staffing/bases are prepared to execute the network.
  • Ensure that changes to the flight schedule have been communicated to all affected customers and contract handlers.
  • During IROPS communicate customer service impact information to affected customers/employees/Executive team.
  • Prepare and provide daily internal/external performance and activity reports.
  • Maintain and update Kargomine as required.
  • Check and coordinate with flight dispatch the maximum available payloads, weather conditions and plan contingencies as necessary.
  • Balancing contract needs vs adhoc revenue.
  • Analyze and resolve operations issues by engaging bases, vendors and contractors
  • Set up contingency planning as required, while continuing to maintain service levels and minimizing costs.
  • Communicate ULD inventory requirements by giving direction to bases on inventory flow.
  • Audit load plans and provide recommendations to improve aircraft utilization and revenue optimization.
  • Take a lead role in overseeing adhoc operations and ensuring all resources required are confirmed.
  • Represent Cargojet CMC on daily operations conference calls.
  • Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
  • Manage the network operation costs efficiently by using the most costeffective operation of flights to balance customer requirements.
  • Minimize block hours while successfully meeting or exceeding contractual obligations to customers.
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Preferred University Graduate or Aviation related equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance, aviation weather, SMS, contracts, IATA standards.
  • 5+ years of industry experience an asset.
  • Demonstrate superior leadership skills and ability to lead a large team successfully.
