Player Care, Research & Education Assistant (1 Year Contract)


Location:
National Soccer Development Centre (UBC), Vancouver, BC


Terms:
Full-time, Permanent


We are looking for a new team member to join Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the position of
Player Care, Research & Education Assistant.


The
Player Care, Research & Education Assistant is responsible for assisting with scheduling, coordination, communication, and follow-up of athlete assessments and specialist appointments.

This role will also contribute to ongoing performance staff education and research dissemination across the club.


Role Responsibilities:


  • Ensure clear communication of the intake process and player status to performance and operations staff
  • Assist with coordinating player assessments, data tracking, and reporting as needed
  • Coordinate preseason testing schedules for all levels of the program
  • Ensure confidentiality of all data and personal information
  • Collaborate and support staff in data collection for athlete health and safety measures
  • Support collection of body composition data for the first team and Next Pro programs
  • Oversee and coordinate performance staff internal continuing education sessions and presenters
  • Assist with the collection and distribution of current research in the various performance areas
  • Assist in maintaining inventory supplies and clinical equipment
  • Attend all activities/meetings/programs as required

Qualifications/Experience:


  • 2 years experience as an MOA, medical or research coordinator, or similar role
  • Undergraduate degree in kinesiology, athletic therapy, health sciences or related field is beneficial
  • Experience working in a fastpaced environment with medical and performance staff is ideal
  • Proficient communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams within the organization
  • Passionate about sport and human performance
  • Must possess a passport and be able to freely travel internationally with the team as required
  • Ability to work nonstandard work week, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays as required
