About the Role

Key Responsibilities of the role (include but not limited to):

  • AXIS model management and execution of controls as part of regular quarterly production under US GAAP/LDTI, NAIC, and Solvency II reserving bases;
  • Assist Actuarial Analysts with running quarterly production on AXIS;
  • Valuation, analysis and reporting (including regulatory reports and disclosures) of the BHG Re life retrocession blocks of business under NAIC and US Tax bases;
  • Recommend, design and help implement process improvements to accommodate growing lines of business and facilitate analysis;
  • Performance management of direct reports and managing their daytoday work;
  • Participate in special projects as requested by Senior Management.

Qualifications:


  • Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation (FSA) designation is required;
  • Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries designation (FCIA) is preferred;
  • 5+ years of experience in a life insurance/reinsurance Company is required;
  • Strong people management skills, ability to lead and influence;
  • Strong technical skills and ability to analyze and solve problems;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience presenting to senior management is preferred;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Knowledge/experience with Moody's AXIS.
