As the Festival Event Manager for the CPAC Food and Music Festival, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of event logistics.

From coordinating set-up and teardown schedules to supervising Zone Supervisors and managing unforeseen challenges, you will contribute to the overall success of the festival.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Festival Setup and Teardown:

Coordinate festival grounds set-up and teardown schedules for all locations.

Zone Supervision:

Lead Zone Supervisors in their respective festival zones, overseeing setup, organization, and activities throughout the event.

Equipment and Signage:

Verify completion of equipment, furniture needs, and signage orders.

Review and document:

Keep track of changes in the festival schedule timeline, ensuring a well-coordinated approach to festival operations.

Meeting Coordination:

Schedule and conduct meetings with Zone Supervisors to discuss and plan zone-specific setup and teardown activities.

Logistical Management:

Manage and oversee all logístical aspects, including vendor logistics, site maps, equipment rentals, and overall supervision of Zone Supervisors.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with various Managers to maintain a coordinated approach to festival operations.

Event Oversight:

Oversee on-site operations, effectively handling unforeseen challenges to maintain a seamless experience for attendees.

City Engagement:

Lead city relations, manage permits and approvals, including street closures, park closures, noise exemptions, signage by-laws, and building permits.

Regulatory Compliance:

Develop comprehensive plans to secure city approval, ensuring full compliance with regulations and managing insurance requirements.

Safety Protocols:


Implement protocols for a secure festival environment, including safety plans, site maps, security coverage, traffic coordination, emergency medical services, and weather services.

Management Meetings:

Attend monthly Management Meetings and co-lead Zone Supervisor meetings.

Stakeholder Meetings:

Attend meetings with city officials and other vendor stakeholders to determine plans.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in festival event operations, preferably in music festivals or cultural events.
  • Previous experience producing a music concert event/food festivals.
  • Experience managing staff or overseeing contractors.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and risk management practices.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Passion for music and the arts, with an understanding of the unique needs of the Caribbean culture.

OTHER DETAILS

  • The Festival Event Manager is required to attend monthly staff meetings occurring once per month on a Saturday from 1pm4pm beginning in March 202
  • The Festival Event Manager will be coleading Zone Supervisor Meetings once per month starting in April 2024.

Salary:

$220.00 per day
