About the Position

Working directly in coordination with the Production Planner & Plant Supervisor


Function:


  • Oversee all aspects of the Custom Application Business
  • Assist with management of custom app contracts, including setting up meetings with vendors and ensuring professional service
  • Responsible for filing and maintaining invoices

Equipment Maintenance:


  • Responsible for ensuring sprayers are maintained properly, including scheduling applicable maintenance for offseason
  • Responsible for tracking maintenance and repairs

Site Operations:


  • Maintain fertilizer spreading and crop protection spraying logs
  • Communicate with support vehicles and office staff
  • Perform general maintenance where needed (equipment, spreaders, etc.)
  • Assist in soil sampling and customer service

  • Become knowledgeable about all Sylvite divisions and the products and services they provide to customers
  • Documentation of all processes and tasks for which a function is responsible

  • Recommend opportunities for improvement of processes and systems as a result of the function performed or based on observations

Education, Experience and / or Training Requirements:

  • Good understanding of agricultural practices and farm equipment
  • Team player, good communication skills, highly organized, dependable
  • Willing to work long hours during the peak season
  • Clean driving record, 'G' license or ability to obtain
  • Agricultural exterminator license is an asset
  • Grain elevator or fertilizer blending experience is an asset
  • Loader experience is an asset

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Norwich, ON N0J 1P0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Agricultural: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Agricultural exterminator licence (preferred)
