- Calibrating underwater systems and transducers
- Maintenance of calibration equipment
- Liaising with management to ensure instrument and calibration specifications are fully understood
- Contacting and informing management on turnaround times and repair recommendations
- Assisting with the development of new test procedures for devices not covered by existing system
- Troubleshoot acoustic test issues, run necessary troubleshooting experiments and collect data
- Other miscellaneous duties as required
- Must be a Certified Engineering Technologist or Technician in the Province of Ontario
- The job requires candidates to have a thorough grasp of calibration requirements
- A background in science, electronics, engineering, or physics. Practical experience in using oscilloscopes, voltmeters & function generators
- Previous experience with acoustics and vibration would be a tremendous asset
- Previous experience with coding in MATLAB, Python or C++ would be an asset
- Experience in a calibration environment with similar instrumentation (e.g. voltmeters, frequency meters, etc.) would be highly desirable
- Must have the physical ability to lift up to 45 lbs and navigate stairs
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Teams)

- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, diligence & commitment
- Candidates must be able to obtain an industry security clearance when/if requested
- Candidates must have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada under relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.

Description
We seek a Test and Evaluation Technician to report to the Calibration Lead Engineer.
The successful candidate will assist and carry out calibration activities and maintenance of test equipment in Sensor Technology's new Acoustic Calibration Tank Facility.
This role is based out of our Collingwood location at 20 Stewart Road.
Start Date: Immediate
Hours of Work: This is a full-time position working 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
