Indoor Environmental Quality

Dartmouth, NS
Our Dartmouth office is currently seeking a Project Manager to provide project management functions for a variety of clients. The Project Manager will be responsible for staff development (i.e. training coordination and quality control for junior and intermediate staff), prepare proposals, and be the principal contact for specific clients.

Responsibilities:


  • Responsible client development and to participate in Pinchin marketing initiatives
  • Supervising and performing microbial contamination (mould), indoor air quality (IAQ) and infection control consulting services, including assessments, contract preparation, and remediation/abatement work
  • Develop mould and indoor air quality management programs
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals and contracts with prospective and existing clients
  • Participate in all quality control initiatives
  • Training and mentoring junior staff, including reviews of written work
  • Prepare proposals for clients, including cost estimates, for review by the Operations Manager or Senior Project Managers
  • Work in hazardous environments, including asbestos and mould removal sites and other hazardous materials abatement

Requirements:


  • Diploma, Bachelor of Science, or Applied Science in an appropriate discipline
  • 5 years' experience in environmental/consulting
  • Experience with building construction, health and safety or public health considered an asset
  • Management experience in environmental health and safety consulting considered an asset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license, insurance and personal vehicle are required (workrelated travel will be compensated)
  • Ability to work outside of core business hours on occasion
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or wear restrictive equipment and protective wear
  • Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, and carry equipment weighing up to 20 kg over long distances.
  • Availability to travel throughout Atlantic Region
  • There are times when security clearance is required in order to gain access to a job site so a Criminal Background Check may be conducted
