Position Summary:
A unionized contractual appointment. A Teaching Assistant is employed to assist the Course Supervisor as a Teaching Assistant in a classroom environment.
A Teaching Assistant works under the guidance and supervision of the Course Supervisor who is responsible for setting the course objectives, content, and method of instruction as well as final grades and grading practices of the course.

- Please note that Teaching Assistants will be required on campus to perform their tasks in person. Should anything prohibit inperson teaching activities, courses will revert to remote teaching. In the event of such a change, Teaching Assistants will be advised as soon as possible. Teaching Assistants may be required to perform tasks suited to a remote/online teaching environment using a virtual learning platform [e.g., Zoom, WebEx] and the McGill myCourses learning management system._
