Description

SCOPE

  • Creating a workable 5S/6S system for the warehouse and conducting 5S/6S training for all staff and warehouse associates, on all shifts
  • Facilitating the warehouse supplies ordering and ensure that all supplies stay at a healthy balance
  • Facilitating site Health & Safety by attending meetings, facilitating H&S initiatives, reporting, and addressing H&S noncompliance
  • Reporting safety concerns and resolutions to management, operations, and agency representatives
  • Coordinating SOP creation and completion with department representatives
  • Supporting business owners in creating flow charts, training material, SOPs, and other
  • Conducting weekly audits for H&S and First Aid
  • Conducting a full warehouse audit
  • MHE spot checks regarding logbooks, licenses, and safety stats
  • Supervising janitorial staff, ensuring janitorial daily duties are completed as assigned, and signing off on daily task sheet
  • Supporting Fire Safety training, initiatives, and drills
  • Interacting with internal departments and external facilitators to promote warehouse safety and compliance
  • This is a new role that is still being developed and other tasks may be assigned as identified during its evolution

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with Occupation Health & Safety regulations
  • Knowledge of 5S/6S design and implementation
  • Comprehensive reporting and record keeping
  • Established supervisory skills
  • Experience with designing and executing training
  • Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
  • Ability to collaborate & build partnerships with multiple business units
  • Strong initiative with the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Ability to effectively, and respectfully, communicate with employees at all levels
This is a full-time position.
This position requires flexibility and availability to provide training on off shifts, as and when required.

$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
