Production Scheduler - York, Canada - Goldrich Printpak
Description
Responsibilities include:
- Coordination manufacturing activities
- Planning of daily, weekly and monthly sequence of printing, diecutting, stripping, windowing, finishing, and other manufacturing operations to meet delivery dates
- Provide daily and weekly production schedule to department managers
- Analyze material shortage conditions, follow up with supply chain and recommend corrective actions daily
- Work with Manufacturing Line Manager(s), Purchasing, and Inventory Control to recommend long term resolutions to shortages due to lack of material control on the production floor
- Work with Production to resequence/reschedule contracts that cannot be manufactured as originally planned
- Participation in the daily production meeting
- Estimate production time for each order giving consideration to availability of machines, material and tooling, number of operations involved, manufacturing backlog, order quantity
- Communicate with Customer Service, Sales, Manufacturing and Planning, regarding identified concerns with material/component availability, equipment failures, customer demands, engineering changes, and deviations that impact the attainment of the production schedule
- Overtime recommendations
- Review the demand for jobs, WIP and assess material availability to meet production schedules
- Assist in coordination of offsite business activity locations
- Prioritize lineups per assembly requirements in order to satisfy customer delivery requirements, giving consideration to available capacity, raw and semifinished material inventory levels, and production order sequence
- Monitor and anticipate when changes may be needed to the production schedule in order to support ontime delivery of customer demand
- Work with Planning to requisition and expedite material from warehouse/suppliers for production, as needed
Skills:
- Ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment
- Understand estimating / quoting methods and procedures
- Must be strong at developing longterm relationships
- Detail oriented, analytical, highly organized, punctual, and reliable
Salary:
$75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

- Manufacturing scheduling: 5 years (required)
- Print industry manufacturing: 3 years (required)
