has five manufacturing facilities located across Canada and 2 facilities in the US with a total workforce in excess of 1000 employees.

Our operations produce foam (EPS), plastic (APET) and molded pulp products, including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, display containers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry.

We have an opportunity available at our Moulded Pulp Plant in Langley, BC for a Maintenance Supervisor with 2 years' or greater experience in a hands-on process Manufacturing environment.

Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, this full time position works with a dynamic team and is a great opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of manufacturing.

A maintenance supervisor is expected to have fantastic organizational and time management skills. You will display natural leadership and possess fantastic communication skills with a great eye for detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (But are not Limited to):

A minimum of 2 years experience working in Manufacturing. Molded Pulp or Pulp and Paper experience would be an asset.
Must have experience working with equipment suppliers, mechanical/electrical contractors, engineering consultants and others, to improve production line performance, reduce waste.
Training in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma would be an asset
Experience directing Maintenance activities would be an asset
Strong analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to progress on projects independently
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
Supervise tradesmen during installations, repairs or maintenance (electricians, millwrights etc.)
Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure compliance
Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
Participate in coordination of projects
Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a grade 12 completion certificate. Postsecondary education, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Technology/Engineering or a related field would be an asset
Previous supervisory experience would be an asset
Must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills
Must have a strong commitment to health and safety
Must possess effective troubleshooting skills
Must possess competent computer skills
Must have a desire to work in a team environment
