The Marketing Specialist will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and proactive graphic designer with a background in writing or journalism who will be primarily responsible for developing content and marketing collateral in alignment with the organization's marketing objectives.
This individual will play a vital role in supporting the company's marketing goals and will be technically adept, creative, and a quick learner with the ability to conduct market research and analyze trends to identify new marketing opportunities.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Design, develop copy and edit technical content for use on the web and print media.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as sales, human resources, and product management, to ensure cohesive messaging and branding.
- Manage social media channels and monitor engagement metrics to improve social media marketing efforts.
- Analyze and report on the performance and efficiency of campaigns
- Promotional swag management.
- Track the performance of communications and content to identify effective or evolved communications solutions proactively.
- Create businessspecific content to deliver and strengthen brand awareness.
- Take a proactive approach to coordinating ongoing content independently and with internal teams.
- Stay informed of industry news and developments to support our marketing and communication efforts for all verticals.
- Attend and contribute to all team meetings when required.
- Communicate and maintain a cooperative working relationship with all Shaver staff and customers including problem solving and conflict resolution.
- Support in house sales efforts when needed.
- Support procurement when needed.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Two to three years of technical experience and postsecondary education in Graphic Design, Marketing, Journalism, Business, and Communications. Highly developed editing, copywriting skills, and creative writing skills.
- An interest in Industrial and mechanical products is an asset for developing product knowledge.
- Strong problemsolving skills and analytical skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, and Key shot.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Skilled in writing and editing content with an attention to detail with exceptional organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a group as well as independently motivated with mínimal supervision.
- Experience implementing digital and social media marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, technical and design processes is an asset but not required.
Pay:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
