DUTIES:

Reporting to the Technical Services Officer, the
Co-op Technology Support assists the IT team with providing first level support services to internal users as well as assisting with the roll out of new laptops and server equipment as part of our annual evergreen initiatives.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Provide first line technology support for DC end users
  • Perform troubleshooting on technical problems relating to hardware and software configurations
  • Produce and maintain documentation and end user guide

Essential Qualifications

EDUCATION:
Post-secondary IT education or industry experience, an asset

  • Experience supporting backup and recovery processes and procedures, software and tools
  • Experience supporting enterprise mobile devices i.e. iPads, iPhones, BBs, etc., using MDM technology.
  • Experience with supporting Audio/ Video equipment i.e. projectors, screens, microphones, speakers etc

KNOWLEDGE:


  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Microsoft Windows 10
  • Networking concepts including TCP/IP

ABILITIES:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work under tight deadlines
  • Solid organizational and multitasking skills with a focus on prioritization
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • Proactive team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to absorb new technologies
  • Ability to work independently as a selfstarter and under supervision
