Job Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

The Events & Education Associate is a food enthusiast who passionately engages guests in Eataly's mission through events and educational programming.

This role will be multi-unit for the Toronto area. Reports to the Events & Education Manager.

Executes events such as cooking classes, wine tastings, brand partnership events and other activations inside La Scuola, performing tasks such as serving, table setup, teardown and check in
Supports setup, execution and teardown of storewide events
Ensures all glassware, cutlery and printed collateral are prepared ahead of each event
Supports La Scuola chef and the Events & Education Lead in guest interactions during events
Assists with packaging and delivery of product for virtual events
Prepares and executes tasting activations on the floor to support product sales and marketing events
Supports offsite events and activations as needed
Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years of experience in restaurant operations, quickservice or events
Excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
Outstanding professional communication and editorial skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
SmartServe certified
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to exert wellpaced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting
Travel within General Toronto Area required
