Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control Specialist in Waterloo
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
- The Shipping/Receiving/Inventory Control Specialist will ensure all inventory control requests are fulfilled in a timely manner and that all affected departments at Teledyne DALSA are prioritized accordingly.
personnel, equipment, space, and materials in order to satisfy the requirements of your internal customers for effecient, reliable, and cost effective inventory control fulfillment.- Process inventory help desk requests.
- Camera and board kitting.
- Efficiently maintain all related KanBan Supermarkets within Manufacturing.
- Responsible to conduct daily cycle counts and perform variance investigation.
- Complete finished good transactions
- Ensure that all inventory control/stock adjustments are accurately documented and processed daily.
- Take part in all inventory counts when required, including periodic cycle counts, variance investigation and reconciliation.
- Assume responsibility and accountability for inventory accuracy.
- Plan and implement specific projects as identified when required to do so.
- Provide overtime support as required to support departmental requirements
- Responsible to maintain maped out processes pertinent to job responsibilities.
- Prioritize tasks as deemed necessary to meet the objectives of the position. Since this is a support position, work continuously to educate your customers and your manager of the necessary tradeoffs in your role.
- Ensure that Central Stores is a maintained and controlled access area.

Qualifications:
- 2 Year College Diploma
- 4 years inventory control processing experience
- Knowledge of materials management principles, JIT, MRP, ABC Inventory, KANBAN
- Understanding of complex bill of materials and pick list
- Computer literate, Word, Access, Excel, Baan or other MRP systems
- Familiarity with ESD Controls and Programs
- Familiarity ISO9000 Quality procedures
- Demonstrated ability to measure processes, analyze information for charting
