Product Manager
What You'll Do
- Manage each vendor as an entrepreneurial business.
- Work with Marketing to develop marketing programs and internal sales communications.
- Meet/Exceed monthly revenues, Net GM% and Net GM$ vendor forecasts.
- Own Profit & Loss responsibilities for assigned vendors.
- Support sales with product guidance, product pricing and market trends.
- Respond to sales enquiries in a timely manner
- Work with sales and buyers to ensure sales forecasts are incorporated into future buying volumes; respond to inquiries about orders.
- Point of escalation on vendor issues relating to their channel strategies, selling practices, special programs, and other general "trouble shooting"
- Forecast vendor sales growth and trends to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Work with Buyer to agree on appropriate inventory buying for the following situations: new products, promotions, expected market share gains/losses, sales forecasts, competitive information, lost sales
- Keep aged inventory at acceptable levels for our business
- Work with operations to maintain inventory levels to Company requirements
- Primary contact for Vendor's Account Representative.
- Point of internal escalation for vendor issues relating to operational issues, marketing issues, finance issues.
What We're Looking For
- Postsecondary degree or diploma from an accredited college or university is desirable, with a focus on: Business Administration, Operations, IT etc.
- 23 years of sales and/or product management experience or Retail Buyer role is preferred
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to multitask and stay focused
- Must be professional in attitude and demeanor
- Excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be a strong team player
- Core Competencies for this role include analytical skills, communication skills, detail oriented, organization/ planning skills, project management and presentation skills
