Financial Analyst - Newmarket, Canada - Town of Newmarket
Description
Job Requirements- Post secondary degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or related discipline and currently enrolled in a recognized professional accounting designation (CPA) program at an intermediate level or equivalent is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience in a Nonprofit accounting environment is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, activity based costing, reporting and analysis.
- Experience with internal controls, auditing and budgets.
- Working knowledge of computerized accounting system, as well as intermediate spreadsheet and introductory word processing software.
- Ability to work independently in a team setting, be a selfstarter and be able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with all levels of staff.
- Welldeveloped analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Due to the responsibilities of this position, a Police Record Check satisfactory to the Newmarket Public Library is required.
