PAL Aerospace is a proud partner of Airbus Defence & Space for the Government of Canada's Fixed Wing Search and Rescue (FWSAR) aircraft replacement program.

Through AirPro SAR- (a joint venture between PAL Aerospace & Airbus DS) the AirPro team will be responsible for the In-Service Support which covers all aspects of the maintenance work not undertaken by Royal Canadian Air Force technicians.

It will include high value repairs, 2nd and 3rd level maintenance, future modification work and depot level maintenance of the aircraft.

In an effort to expand our current team, PAL Aerospace is currently looking for a
Technical Demand and Inventory Specialist in
Winnipeg, Manitoba to work with AirPro SAR Services Inc.


This position is responsible for ensuring the full performance of the Demand anticipation and Inventory levels management activities associated to the Performance Based Logistics contracts for the FWSAR contract.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Development and maintenance of a solid business model together with the different functions supporting the MRO activities
  • Initial Parts List (IPL) and spares consumption monitoring coordinating the demand and resupply of spares, inventory optimization as well as the enforcement of supply discipline. This includes Reorder Point (ROP) management.
  • Support the pre
- and post
- maintenance event analysis for FWSAR, taking lessons learns for future fleet material demands

  • Optimize the list of material for each maintenance event
  • Support the pre
paration of the supplier forecast, considering the different triggers of the material demand for the next period

  • Support the material without demand out of stock policy (MTO) analysis of the root cause of the increases
  • Identifying the possible risks posed by noncompliance, reviewing statistical data with probabilistic background approach to solving problems
  • Proposal of corrective and preventive actions to reduce the MTO
  • Ensure timely delivery of solution of activities under the area accountability, and the associated reporting
  • Special focus on the common understanding on aircraft scheduled maintenance and Operational material requirements
  • Other Duties as assigned, including the support to other Material support System areas such as Ordering and Procurement.

Qualifications and skills:


  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in material management or inventory planning
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree or post secondary diploma in related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Ability for dealing with large sets of data at an advanced level
  • A strong level of operational knowledge of for Excel and database management
  • Experience working with SAP or SQL considered an asset
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills
  • Capacity for planning and managing processes and persuading people
  • Experience in the aerospace industry or knowledge of aircraft maintenance practices is considered an asset
  • Person focus on targets, capacity for planning and managing processes and people.
