Water/Flood Restoration Technician

Key Role & Responsibilities
- Flood mitigation and remediation
- Installing drying equipment and performing equipment checks onsite as required
- Keep an accurate log of consumables and equipment used, along with progress of work.
- Keep the Project Managers and others up to date with photos, notes and completed job tasks on a timely basis.
- Proactively communicate job site conditions and concerns to appropriate person
- Participate in and demonstrate an understanding of safety principles and practices, including safe operation of machines and equipment.
- Follow all protocols according to customer requirements.
Physical Demands
- Frequent lifting from 550 lbs unassisted
- Mobility and access in tight spaces
- Sustained periods of standing, sitting, walking, bending and kneeling
Working Conditions
- Drive and visit projects covering a vast geographical area.
- Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
- Potentially challenging work environment
- Work under time constraints
- Oncall rotation schedule for afterhours emergency calls
Must Have
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Ability to use technology and software as required
- Strong communication skills, good command of the English language
- Good attention to details
- Valid BC Driver's license and clear driver's record
- Restoration or construction related experience
Must Be
- A selfstarter with excellent time management skills.
- Meticulous in providing attention to detail, adherence to deadlines, and the ability to follow instructions.
- Diligent in taking notes/photos, and submitting reports in a timely manner.
- Committed and reliable.
- Available to work overtime when necessary.
- Able to work well in team environments as well as independently.
- Legally permitted to work in Canada.
