Here's how you will make a positive impact on a day-to-day basis:

Plan, implement, and evaluate activities and experiences to meet individual and group needs of all children and families of a childcare program.
Guide and care for a group of children ages 3 months to school age
Encourage learning and develop positive selfconcepts for children
Ensure a healthy and safe environment for children
Maintain effective and cooperative team work and communication
Maintain positive and supportive relationships with parents and families

In addition to being a wonderful and positive person & team player, you must have:

Licenses & Certifications: ECE Infant / Toddler | Childcare First Aid | Food Safe
Welldeveloped interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication
Strong knowledge and awareness of:
Emergent curriculum and the BC Early Learning Framework
Developmental needs of children
Family engagement strategies and parenting issues and needs
Guiding and caring strategies
Knowledge of broader child care field and its role in the community

Additional skills and experiences may include:

Special Needs certification & license (or working towards it)
Child care experience working in an inclusive child care setting
Second Language

Terms of Employment:

Salary: $25.44 per hour plus benefits. In addition, you will receive $6 per hour in Provincial ECE Wage Enhancement.
Regular fulltime (37.5 hours per week)
Starting: As soon as possible
