PSSP is providing project management, implementation, program development, data and evaluation, training, and health equity and engagement support for the overarching Ontario Structured Psychotherapy Program (OSP).

OSP is a key initiative in Ontario's Roadmap to Wellness - the province's mental health and addictions plan - and provides publicly funded evidence-based psychotherapy and related approaches to Ontarians with depression, anxiety, and anxiety-related conditions.

OSP is funded by the Ministry of Health (MOH), with the Mental Health and Addictions Centre of Excellence (MHA CoE) at Ontario Health (OH) providing program oversight and accountability.


PSSP is seeking a full-time, contract (until March 31, 2023) CH&E Specialist (Knowledge Mobilization Coordinator) to join the OSP team.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the CH&E Specialist will have a lead role in providing OSP partners with access to knowledge, evidence, and resources to support decision-making, program development and implementation, communication, and relationship-building both internally and externally.

The efforts of this role will lead to the development of materials, dissemination of information, consultation and engagement with partners and other stakeholders, and building of capacity throughout the program.


Responsibilities:


In this role, the CH&E Specialist will gather, analyze, and synthesize appropriate and tailored research, evidence and other forms of information and knowledge to inform actions and decisions within the project.

To do so, the CH&E Specialist will lead the development and maintenance of key programmatic resources and tools, such as program guidelines, evidence briefs, briefing notes, rapid reviews, infographics, one-pagers, and presentations.

In addition, the CH&E Specialist will support translating project materials, documents and decisions into tools, manuals and other products that can support implementation by a variety of stakeholders across the project (e.g. program administrators, managers and clinicians).

The CH&E Specialist will also support organizing and facilitating meetings and other forms of consultations/engagements, developing agendas and meeting materials, taking minutes, and tracking action items across various project committees, communities of practice, and working groups.


Qualifications:


  • Master's degree in Health Services, Health or Social Sciences, Public Health, Health Promotion, Knowledge Translation Research, Communications, or a related discipline;
  • 3 years' related employment experience after graduation, particularly within the areas of research, communications, and/or health care/services; Experience in a clinical setting is an asset, particularly prior experience delivering counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, and/or related approaches in a hospital or communitybased setting is preferred;
  • Full fluency in English (written and oral) is required; fluent bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language is an asset;
  • Experience supporting implementation of largescale, complex systemlevel initiatives with multiple and diverse stakeholders (preference for systemlevel initiatives and those within the mental health and addiction and/or social services sector(s)) through facilitation, problem solving, decisionmaking, and conflict resolution;
  • Experience working with hospitalbased, communitybased, academic, and/or governmental organizations;
  • Demonstrated understanding of knowledge translation and exchange strategies, methods, conceptual models and frameworks, including through the development and dissemination of webbased tools, communities of practice, newsletters, workshops, and online repositories;
  • Experience with a range of knowledge exchange methods, resources, and tools (e.g., web tools, newsletters, workshops, and online repositories);
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze, and develop knowledge exchange options and strategies;
  • Experience facilitating communities of practice, online collaborative spaces, working groups and formal governance structures;
  • Experience developing and maintaining effective, strong partnerships, including amongst stakeholders with varying priorities and needs, including those from (and representing and/or serving) communities made marginal by systemic oppression;
  • Ability to develop and coordinate work plans, knowledge exchange plans, and communication plans to support largescale system change initiatives;
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, review, interpret and synthesize information and evidence, including through the execution of literature searches and reviews, as well as through consultative processes with individuals, organizations, and communities;
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and develop knowledge exchange products, such as options analyses, briefing notes, and other tools, to support development and implementation of new practices/services
