- Communicating with suppliers to resolve invoicing issues
- Preparing bank deposits and daily cash reports
- Processing journal entries for proper recording of business transactions
- Updating Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable with daily transactions
- Tracking all financial transactions
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Organizing the accounting filing system
- Overseeing business inventory and cash flow
- Balancing financial books by reconciling them with bank statements
- Reporting financial issues to management
- Generating financial reports and analyzing financial statements
- Providing necessary information to accountants and auditors
- Following standard accounting procedures and policies
- Ensuring compliance with government reporting requirements
- Assisting in establishing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
- 2-3 years of proven bookkeeping experience in the Metal retail industry
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures
- Data entry proficiency and numerical aptitude
- Experience with spreadsheets and MS Office
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and a sense of urgency
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- Effective independent and team work capabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Description
Job Title: Bookkeeper
We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to manage our financial records for a busy rebar division. The Bookkeeper will work closely with our Accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure compliance with legal requirements, process accounts payable and receivable, and handle invoices and tax payments. The ideal candidate will have a Finance degree and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks. The primary responsibility of the Bookkeeper is to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions.
