TD Wealth Operations is part of Wealth Shared Services and is the operational engine of TD Wealth. Wealth Operations supports all TD Wealth distribution channels, TD Mutual Funds, TD Asset Management, and TD Securities. TD Wealth Operations goal is to be recognized as an industry leader in Operational Excellence providing Legendary Partner and Client experience leading by best employee experience, focusing on process and productivity enhancement, and effectively managing risks and controls. Responsible for the oversight of ~2,400 accounts across various books of record systems for our centralized reconciliations quality review, monthly certification reporting. Support and oversight of system administration for our reconciliation tool TLM. Audit support and supporting various TDAM activities (cash sweep TD/CIBC Mellon, CIBC custody account opening for fund launches, custody account administration and MF Trust administration support). Provide a range of analytical/process support, research on digital technologies to automate processes and assist with special initiatives within Reconciliations and reporting.

Key Accountabilities

The Functional Specialist Quality Assurance's main responsibilities include supporting Business, Compliance and Audit Control oversight for Reconciliations Month End Certification and TDAM Regulatory requirements as well as:


  • Implementing change in response to our Wealth Business partners' evolution, identifying and implementing process improvements that add efficiencies and enhance our risk mitigation model.

Analyze current state reconciliation controls process and perform root cause analysis for any breaks and gaps in process.

Liaise and drive change between multiple stakeholders (Technology, Business Architecture, Operations, Wealth Business lines).

Statistical and trend analysis reporting to executives and senior leadership.

Assist in driving change and solutions for all identified root causes.

Business Analysis:

-
Support the team by providing analytics and insights to recommend actions that will enable optimal business decisions and/or resolves complex business problems. Identify opportunities to drive business growth & value.

Design/develop dashboards and scorecards to support business needs; ensure alignment of metrics across the organization.
-
Requires advanced knowledge of business unit and operational functions for business areas and regulatory issues/requirements for jurisdictions supported.

Maintain and support working relationships with customers, partners and vendors including, responding to questions and/or concerns in an effective and timely manner.

Maintain a culture of risk management and control, supported by effective processes in alignment with risk appetite.

Consolidated reporting on exception/outstanding items and potential loss exposure. Responsible for account attestation, daily approval, and month-end certification accounts review and signoff.**-
Support Management on Coaching, training, and performance management of the team

Review and maintain departmental procedures.

Support TDAM, Product and CIBC Mellon partners for TD fund launch/termination

Other Qualifications/Skills
-
Good understanding of underlying Wealth business processes and ability to interpret issues and relay to stakeholders in a concise and simple manner will be an asset.

3 to 5 years related industry experience.

Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues and disciplined approach to investigating root causes.

Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and ability to prioritize and manage the workflow of the team.

Very good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Ability to relay messages in a simple, concise, and effective manner.

Highly proficient in Excel (advanced Excel preferred)

Prior experience with audits will be an asset.
-
Prior experience in SharePoint, Tableaux and Alteryx or other reporting tools will be an asset.

Very good interpersonal skills that will facilitate working with many internal/external partners to achieve successful outcomes.
