SUMMARY

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Commissioning Activities

Perform design reviews of systems
Develop, oversee, and write startup and commissioning policies and procedures
QA/QC of the equipment installation
Perform construction observations and develop functional test plans
Execute tests for a wide variety of electrical and mechanical systems and ensure testing is performed in conformance with standards and procedures
Assist in training of plant operations and maintenance personnel
Function as liaison with vendors and sub contractors regarding problem resolution and during performance of testing as required
Review and analyze data and prepare technical reports
Maintain effective communication with clients, contractors, and other project team members

Project Management and Tracking

Work with others to manager small to midsize projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule
Map project timeline along with required resources, expertise, identification of key stakeholders, milestones, and key performance indicators to achieve
Track progress and provide requested reports and overviews to internal BGIS leadership and external clients as requested.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
7 years of industry experience in either electrical power distribution or mechanical systems or both
Experience in diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems
Organized with time management and prioritization skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a high stress environment while multitasking and meeting deadlines
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with and mentor others
Knowledge of building codes and construction industry standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel
Working knowledge of AutoCAD is considered a plus
Must have or be able to obtain a passport for international travel
