The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) is seeking one (1) individual with excellent customer service skills to manage the Facilities Management Branch Office and Employee Vehicle Parking programs.


Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Provide administrative support and executive assistance for the Facilities Management Branch staff and Director.
  • Provide a firstclass customer service experience as the central contact person and liaison for inquiries regarding Facilities Management for approximately 40 facilities.
  • Process and direct facility maintenance & repair requests.
  • Manage and enforce the Police Headquarters & TD Tower employee parking systems.
  • Process and manage the administration of Enhanced Security Clearances for external contractors and City of Edmonton staff.
  • Provide visitor access cards for individuals requiring access to various facilities based on appropriate authorization documentation from supervisors and managers.
  • Maintain the Branch's filing system, ensuring proper retention and disposal of files in compliance with FOIPP legislation.
  • Provide backup support for the Maintenance Coordinator, Contract Administrator, and the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of Supply Services.
  • Create POs on SAP software and submit to COE Corporate Accounting for payment.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of three (3) years progressively responsible supervisory and diversified word and/or information processing experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP (creating PO's).
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, exercise sound judgment, and provide excellent customer service in a challenging environment.
  • Proven ability to maintain moderately complex records and to prepare reports from the same.
  • Good organizational skills, able to complete work effectively and efficiently under the pressure of a fastpaced work environment with changing priorities.
  • Previous experience in a property management or police environment would be considered an asset.
  • Applicants may be tested.
  • As part of your prehire screening, you will be required to complete an Enhanced Security Clearance. Should you accept employment with the Edmonton Police Service you acknowledge and agree to participate in future Enhanced Security Re-Clearances at scheduled intervals or in any other circumstances, exigent or otherwise, as required by Human Resources Division.

Salary Grade: 012, $ $33.76 (Hourly), $1, $2, Biweekly), $47, $59, Annually). The rates quoted are in accordance with a collective agreement between the Union and the City of Edmonton.
