Dalhousie University is seeking an Assistant Vice-President, Development (AVP) with the Office of Advancement.

This is an opportunity to join Dalhousie at an exciting time leading up to the launch of the university's largest ever comprehensive fundraising campaign.

Dalhousie's Office of Advancement is responsible for all fundraising and alumni engagement activities at the University.

A growing team of over 100 professionals cultivates relationships with alumni and friends of the university and works with donors to help them achieve personal fulfilment through philanthropic investment.


Reporting to the Vice-President, Advancement, the AVP is a key member of the Advancement Leadership Team and is responsible for maximizing philanthropic revenue generation in support of Dalhousie's mission, vision, and values.

The AVP leads a team of over 50 professionals who are responsible for raising funds through principal ($1 million +), major ($50,000+) and legacy giving programs as well as the prospect research, prospect management, and donor relations teams that directly support those efforts.
