Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain costeffective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline
Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates
Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another
Prepares loads for shipment
Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met
Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible
Plan and track the shipment of final products according to the requirements
Prepare accurate reports in requested system for upper management
Data entry in company database for loads/items
Relay information back to site supervisors if trucks are delayed or change in schedule.
Communicate with drivers, vendors, managers, customers, and other dispatchers;

- carrying out tasks on other assigned projects as needed

Minimum Requirements:

Required experience: minimum 2year working experience in Logistics in Canada
Experience in local tracing.
Required skills: intermediate level of using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, strong verbal and written skills in English
