Position Summary Description

The Business Intelligence Team works as a link between the Business and IT for Data Extraction.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will understand the business needs in terms of Data, Report and BI tools and will build the structure to serve the business needs.


The BI Analyst is expected to gather the business requirements and translate into data extraction to the IT team in charge of Data warehouse.

The BI Analyst will manage/oversees and test data transformation to ensure the final data has been properly generated.

BI Analyst will then develop front views in either MS tools such as Excel or QlikSense - the corporate BI tool.


The Business Intelligence Analyst also must consider ways in which a company can develop new policies regarding data collection and data analysis methodologies, including ensuring integrity of data use.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Understand Business needs through interviews, documents, business requirements and observation.

Work Business Requirements that are clear to translate the business needs to the BES Team. Spend time with the BES Team to make sure the solution/data being built will serve the business properly.

Create solutions for the business to cover Reporting/BI needs, through Excel/Access reports or QlikSense Apps

Create and Maintain reference tables required for reporting. Ensure reference tables are accurate

Present recommendations to senior management about ways to increase efficiency

Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.


QUALIFICTIONS:


Education:
Associate's Degree required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.


Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' work experience required


Other:

Attention to detail, and excellent analytical skills.

Must be comfortable working with large amounts of data
Understanding of Math functions and Numbers
Access knowledge required
Database design and data analytics required
Data visualization, including tools such as Tableau and Qlik required
Handle all variants of SQL
Proficient in ETL (extract, transform, load)
Exceptional skill in MS Excel
Advanced skill in Access, including setting up databases and basic linking
Comfortable producing routine tasks, yet capable of meeting on-demand deadline requests
Ability to prioritize

find alternative ways / come up with solutions using the information/resources that we have.
