    Position Overview
  • A regular fulltime position
    is available in the Clerk's Office for a Records Management Clerk to be responsible for the daytoday maintenance of a corporate records management system

The incumbent will:

  • Perform routine records management tasks such as arranging, classifying and describing documents; updating and maintaining the records classification and retention schedules; filing, retrieving and scanning records.
  • Maintain the semi‐active records storage room and archival space; ensure that documents are stored safely and securely and that items are returned in good order; arrange for the retrieval of off‐site records; assist in the transfer of records and moves files and boxes as required.
  • Provide input to new and amended policies and procedures pertaining to records management for both electronic and paper documents; recommend amendments to classifications.
  • Provide information and assistance to departments on established records management procedures and the use of the electronic document management system; assist in the delivery of records‐related training.
  • Assist with processing requests for access to information from the public.
  • Perform a variety of miscellaneous clerical tasks in support of departmental operations as directed by a superior.
  • Perform related work as required.

Qualifications:


Education requirements include Grade 12 supplemented by courses in records and information management, plus sound related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

A valid BC Driver's licence is also required. Adaptability and enthusiasm to take on new challenges is paramount.

The pay range for this unionized position is $ $37.

58 per hour (2024 rates)
Hours of Work: 35-hour work week (Compressed work schedule available)
