Patriot Forge of Paris supplies carbon, alloy and stainless steel forgings with heat treatment, machining and testing.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual equipment
- Machine product to specified requirements as defined within production shop orders, drawings and sketches or as directed by the management of Patriot Forge
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Administer metrology knowledge and experience as necessary
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts for material handling of large product
- Maintain equipment in safe and productive condition, including but not limited to, regular routine lubrication, cleaning, maintaining coolant levels
- Practice excellent general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches, storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
- Shovel chips generated by machinery; grind parts and assist and support fellow employees in their duties, when/as required
- Maintain proper working condition of measuring instruments by regular cleaning. Store instruments in a safe location both during use and after completion of use
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointed by management
- Work various shifts as required
Experience/Skills/Education:
- High skill diploma required and postsecondary machinist related education is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and a Certificate of Qualification are assets
- A good understanding of machining principles is essential
- Previous experience with the set up and operation of manual equipment is preferred
- Good knowledge of cutting tools as well as speeds and feeds an asset
- Good command of the English language both written and verbal
- Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects
- Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Paris, ON N3L 3V3: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
