Job description:

Construction Foreman - Fibre to the Home - Wirecomm

Wirecomm is looking for an Experienced Foreman with prior experience leading and managing yard material management and field construction. This is a full-time position and starts immediately based out of Essex, Ontario.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Manage, track, monitor, organize all materials and oversee field crews and subcontractors.
  • Manage yard shipping and receiving materials.
  • Ensure accurate and detailed Inventory is completed in a timely manner.
  • Travel between job sites to followup and ensure that project timelines are maintained according to client expectations.
  • Ensure that health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Provide Feedback to the Ware House inventory status day to day basis.
  • Communicate and work with Construction Manager, to ensure that any obstacles are removed, and projects are completed to client specifications and within timeline(s).
  • Other duties as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum 2 years of Telecommunications/Utilities construction experience.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role in FTTH work preferred.
  • Experience working on or around Outdoor allWeather Conditions and Outdoor Yard Material organization, accurately tracking and reporting.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, influencing skills to build strong relationships, and network effectively with all levels of the organization and with external clients and partners.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slip, inventory of FTTH related materials.
  • Detail oriented organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite.
  • Forklift license preferable.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to various job sites.

Ability to Commute/Relocate:

  • Essex, ON (Must be Local/ Windsor or surrounding area)

Experience:


  • Construction Foreman/
Yard Supervisor: 2+ years (required)

  • Fiber to the Home: 2+ years (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • G, Skid Steer, Outdoor Forklift (required)
