    Job Description

    The site supervisor role is a contract position that will ensure smooth site operations and sees to the daily maintenance. They will act as a key player in the application of occupational health and safety regulations in his/her sector of activity and Scale operations.

    • Participate in the operations of the scale, ferrous and non-ferrous departments (unloading customers, sorting, and identifying the different metals, weighing the metals, and entering the information in RECY and operating the machinery, etc.)
    • Manage, guide, and motivate the work team
    • Always ensure that the employees follow AIM policies and procedures regarding health and safety in the workplace
    • Manage the need for PPE and other equipment, ensuring their proper use, maintenance, and replacement, if necessary
    • Perform administrative follow-ups of documents related to production and maintenance.
    • Act as administrative support to the Site Manager
    Qualifications
    • Minimum 1-2 years' experience as supervisor will be considered an asset
    • Be a positive, engaging, and inspiring leader
    • Ability to set and manage priorities in a pressured work environment and quick decision making
    • Experience in metal scrap industry will be considered an asset
    • Knowledge of different heavy equipment and forklifts an asset
    • Ability to learn a variety of job descriptions
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
    • Good knowledge of Outlook, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel

    HEALTH AND SAFETY

    • Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM's Health and Safety policies and procedures
    • Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or 'near miss' incidents to management

    HOURS OF WORK

    • Permanent full-time position
    • 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours and Saturdays when deemed necessary
